Repair Work

Sometimes a full re-upholster is not necessary or does not meet your particular budget.  Early intervention to repair seams that are splitting or a tear that has accidentally occurred can prevent further and longer term damage and allow many more years of use from your seat.  Common problem areas are the drivers bolster areas on the seat base and back, seams pulling apart from heavy wear, or tears caused by accidents due to sharp objects.  We are happy to take on repairs and can provide advice and guidance on what will be the best value solution for your hard earned cash.

Here is an example of a much loved fiesta that had been heavily used and suffered some extreme damage to the driver seat back bolster.  I was able to recycle the pocket on the back of the seat to patch the problem area, meaning the fabric match is identical and in time will blend perfectly.
Below is an example of a repair made to a MK4 Golf R32.  Dawn's leather had started to come apart at the seams from wear and tear from sliding into those bucket seats.  A full leather reupholster would have been a costly job and didn't suit Dawn's budget, we were also aware that replacing one panel in new leather would not blend in with the distressed look that her well used seats already had.  So with that it mind we suggested replacing the bolster panels on both front seats in an eye catching red.  We used a soft faux leather bringing her job price in to an affordable bracket.  In return Dawn's seats had a new lease of life and we added a matching red gear stick gaiter to set off the new theme in her Golf.  The red inspiration came from Dawn's travel mug which now matches perfectly with the pop of red in her seats!!
